I have been knitting for a very very long time. Knitting makes sense to me. Crochet, not so much. It took a while for me to realise that it wasn’t just knitting in a circle. Crochet has it’s own stitches and it’s own notation. When I first started  I found the tutorials confusing and ended up giving up on quite a few projects, usually in a rage.
Eventually something clicked and although there are still a lot of crochet stitches that I’m pretending don’t exist I am definitely improving. I love how crochet looks, I love the spiral effects I can create and I really love only using 1 needle. For anyone else who is just starting out with crochet, here is everything I’ve learnt so far.
